Baptist World Aid Australia is a not-for-profit Christian organisation, committed to empowering the world’s poor to lift themselves out of poverty.For over 50 years we have been serving poor communities through partnering with overseas agencies for international aid and development work.
Baptist World Aid Australia recognises that people living in poverty are trapped because they lack access to adequate resources and opportunities. Our work is designed to address this – equipping poor families and their communities to tackle to root causes of poverty affecting them and enjoy the life of well-being that God intends for them.

Our Mission:
• Partner with like-minded agencies overseas to empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty, challenge injustice and build resilience.
• Partner with Christians and churches in Australia, particularly those from the Baptist movement, in generous giving, ethical consumption, courageous advocacy and faithful prayer in order to achieve justice for people living in poverty.
• Create a professional and enriching environment for staff and board as they serve in the name of Jesus.
