Big Picture Education Australia aims to stimulate vital changes in Australian education by generating and sustaining innovative, personalised schools that work in tandem with their greater communities. We design break-through public schools, research and replicate new designs for education, train educators to serve as leaders in their schools and communities, and actively engage the public as participants and decision makers. One of our key projects is working with Play for Life founded on the critical role of lifelong play, which is central to our continued well-being, resilience and adaptation to change and our social cohesiveness as a community. Play for Life uses play to initiate important, innovative, and effective social change projects, with a focus on disadvantage and children and youth. Its first project is The Pod, a play initiative, which focuses on primary school children and their communities.
