Communication Rights Australia

Description

Communication Rights Australia an advocacy and information service for people with little or no speech. Communication Rights is funded substantially through Disability Services Victoria and managed by a dedicated Board who consist of people who are committed to our mission and goals. Their role is to provide guidance and direction to the agency by providing a sound foundation from which to negotiate the vision, mission and strategic planning or the agency. Communication Rights recognises that fundamental change is necessary within the community so that people with a disability, especially those who have little or no speech, may enjoy the same rights as other citizens. Communication Rights has a commitment to a Human Rights approach and has developed alliances state-wide, nationally and internationally to ensure there is engagement with individuals, advocates and other stakeholders, within the disability and general community, to enhance this approach.
