Description

Communities for Communities is a fully voluntary not for profit organisation based in Sydney's Canada Bay. Our mission is to build connectedness within our community, and to help other communities locally and abroad.

Communities for Communities is built on four pillars:

* We build, experience and celebrate our community.
* We reach out and help other communities to meet their needs.
* We raise awareness and understanding of the needs of others.
* We challenge and encourage other communities to set up their own Communities for Communities model.

With the support of the people of Canada Bay, we've hosted dozens of community events and raised more than half a million dollars. This has built houses, schools, and communities facilities in disadvantaged communities overseas in Thailand, the Philippines and South Vietnam, and funded additional paediatric physiotherapy hours in Lucas Gardens School in Five Dock.
