Description

Fernlea House has established a home-like facility in Emerald for anyone with a life threatening illness. Currently a Nurse Manager runs a day hospice, with the assistance of volunteers. This offers palliative care and support for guests, and support for carers (including bereavement counselling). The long term vision is to also offer residential 24 hour care. Fernlea members are also involved in fundraising and community education. We also offer an outreach program to visit people unable to visit our centre.
