Huntington’s Victoria (HV) is a not for profit organisation funded by the Victorian Government and donations from the public to provide the only specialist service in Victoria for people with Huntington’s Disease (HD) – a genetic neurodegenerative disease that results in brain cell death. HV aims to promote awareness about the disease and to improve the quality of life of people affected by HD through our information, education and support services.
Our information and education service provides up-to-date information on HD, and access to available support and services in the community for people affected by HD including their families, carers and other professionals.
Our support services, which include Case Management and Individualised Support Packages (ISP) assist people affected by HD in achieving their own goals, maintaining independence, developing skills, strengthening family relationships and ensuring community participation, which are all important in improving the quality of life.
