Jewish House

Description

Jewish House has been serving the Sydney community for over 23 years. Over this period, it has helped thousands of people rebuild their lives after a major crisis such as substance abuse, drug/alcohol addiction, homelessness, gambling addiction, depression or other mental illness, or a relationship/family breakdown.

Jewish House provides the following services:
(1) 24/7 crisis call hotline;
(2) crisis/short term accomodation for individuals in crisis;
(3) bulk billing counselling;
(4) interpersonal mediation;
(5) chaplaincy/pastoral care;
(6) hospital and nursing home visits;
(7) assistance to complete forms for welfare and other assistance; or attend job interviews;
(5) facilitation of a support network for parents of problematic children;
(6) facilitation of a support network for people with mental illness; and
(7) lectures on a range of health and mental health issues such as obesity, depression and teenager related issues such as eating disorders and sexual health.
