Description

Manningham Community Health Service was established in 1992 as a joint initiative of the Doncaster/Templestowe and Nunawading Councils, primarily to manage a small Allied Health Program in the two municipalities. At that time we were named Doncaster – Nunawading Community Health Service. We were formally incorporated on 29th September 1993.
Following a redefinition of municipal boundaries in 1996, we were re-named Manningham Community Health Service, and our catchment area became the municipality of Manningham.
Services are provided from sites at Doncaster East, Doncaster, Lower Templestowe, and Warrandyte.
Only 80% of the organisations funding is from government sources which covers direct service delivery
The service has approx 65 staff, these staff provide a range of services, examples are – diabetes education, physiotherapy, podiatry, speech & occupational therapy, counselling and social network groups for elderly men and women some of who have a disability.
The organisation has a volunteer base of around 100.
The organisation provides transport and in home services to older and frail clients,
