Our vision is a society where everyone, regardless of background or disability feels welcome, included and supported.MDAA aims to promote, protect and secure the rights and interests of people from non-English speaking backgrounds with disability and their families and carers in NSW.
MDAA provides a range of services including
Individual Advocacy
MDAA has a team of Individual Advocates who work across NSW. They support people with disability from diverse backgrounds to speak up for their rights
Systemic Advocacy
MDAA advocates for social justice. We work to improve legislation, policies and services for people with disability from diverse backgrounds.
Capacity Development
We facilitate, support and maintain the Regional and Rural Disability Network, the Siblings Network and the NSW Network of Women with Disability.
These networks support people with disability to develop skills, make links and access resources to bring about local, regional and state-wide change.
Industry Development
We develop resources, provide information and advice and conduct research to create responsive, equitable and skilled services.
MDAA has offices in Harris Park, Newcastle, Wollongong and Griffith.
MDAA also auspices City and Inner West Disability Advocacy, South East Advocacy and South East Sydney Advocacy.
