Norwood Association

Description

Norwood Association is a non-profit organisation which provides community mental health outreach services.

We exist to assist people on their journey to recovery and we aspire to reach more people by expanding our programs and diversifying our support services.

Norwood provides rehabilitation services to adults (16-64 years of age) residing in the Brimbank, Melton and Sunbury communities, who live with mental health issues and resulting disabilities. Services are provided to clients through rehabilitation and/or recovery practitioners.

Norwood services target people with chronic and enduring serious mental illness, and the associated psychiatric disability. We focus on addressing the impact of mental illness on a person’s daily activities and the social disadvantage resulting from illness. Our practitioners work within a recovery and empowerment model to maximise people’s opportunities to live successfully in the community.
