Description
RPAtv is Royal Prince Alfred Hospital’s free TV channel broadcasting quality programs together with selected sponsorship, daily to bedsides and public areas.RPAtv is Australia’s first general hospital TV channel dedicated to bringing about wellbeing for everybody.
RPAtv is seen as a unique but effective opportunity to directly target the captive health focused audience located within the hospital. The channel utilises the existing in-house TV network to broadcast directly to every bedside in the hospital, pllus, public areas including: foyer, emergency and outpatient waiting areas. The service is a free service in that you do not have to hire the TV to receive the channel.
The channel was officialy launched in November 2005 by Mary Kostakidis, SBS Newsreader.
RPAtv is a not-for-profit RPA Hospital health initiative and is designed as a template for expansion into other hospitals.
