Support the visual communication activities of St James Ethics Centre Help build the awareness and profile of the Ethics Centre to target audiences
Half-full day per week at St James Ethics Centre Neutral Bay offices or from home office
Established in 1989, St James Ethics Centre is an independent, not-for-profit organisation providing a non-judgemental forum for the promotion and exploration of ethics.
Operating both in Australia and abroad, the Ethics Centre is unique in the world for its creation and management of public debates, support to the general community on ethical issues, application of ethical principles to specific issues in public institutions and broad scope of engagement and consultancy with major corporates.
The Web/Graphic Design Assistant will work in collaboration with the Head of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Volunteers and the marketing suppliers to implement our visual communication program.
Suggested timeframe: half day per week. Immediate start.
Duties:
Update the websites
Continue the production of a regular e-news
Support the implementation of our content strategy
Skills:
Tertiary design qualifications
5+ years experience in graphic design including digital media especially websites and e-communications
A strong digital portfolio
Experience with HTML and PHP, CSS, Dreamweaver, Javascript interaction methods ( ideal), mainstream e-communications
Understanding of metadata for SEO and of hosting for uploading and downloading files
Strong Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign skills
Knowledge of and interest in ethics, policy, community and philosophy
Initiative, energy, enthusiasm, good communicator, enjoys team approach
Organised, strong attention to detail, time management, professional
Understanding of branding and the appropriate messaging
