VACRO is a non-government, non-denominational organization, established in 1872 as the Discharged Prisoner's Aid Society of Victoria. VACRO’S mission is to provide support and information for individuals charged with a criminal offence, offenders, prisoners and their families. VACRO also provides leadership, education, training and research on the impact of the criminal justice system for the community, offenders and their family.
