Western Chances assists young people in the western suburbs to realise their potential through the provision of scholarships and other related programs.

Founded in 2003, we are proud of the impact we have made to the lives of many young people in Melbourne’s West and the community in which they live. Our achievements to date:


-594 scholarship recipients
-966 scholarships awarded (including multiple renewals) at an average value of $1000 per grant per year
-Over $1 million invested directly to young people of the West
-A broad range cultural and academic Opportunities Programs initiated across the West
-Strong partnerships with businesses, schools, community groups, philanthropic foundations and individuals
