YCH is a specialist community housing organisation engaged in a range of activities relating to the provision of housing to low income, single person households. 1. Tenancy and Property Management YCH currently manages approximately 480 tenancies in a range of property types, including Rooming Houses. YCH properties are located in the northern and western suburbs of Melbourne with a concentration within the City of Yarra. The properties are generally owned by the State Government and leased to YCH. YCH tenants are predominantly single persons on pensions or benefits - a high proportion have a disability, chronic health problems and /or substance addiction issues. 2. Non-Profit Development of housing projects YCH is currently involved in the development of a number of capital projects with a range of partner organisations. These projects have a total value in excess of $ 7 million and will deliver a total of 42 units on 4 sites. 3. Community building YCH is involved in the early stages of a number of projects designed to provide opportunities for tenants to participate in their local community and gain training and employment skills.
