Youth Futures WA is one of the largest providers of education and training services to youth at risk in the north Perth area. They recently undertook a skilled volunteering project with Bankwest employee Adrian Cowman to deliver three workshops at COMET, an alternative education program for year 10 and 11 students. Adrian was keen to volunteer his facilitation and mentoring skills and felt that Youth Futures WA was a great match.

Adrian reflects positively on his experience with Youth Futures saying that it has given him "personal fulfilment and a sense of privilege to be able to contribute something positive and helpful to a group of children in need of some adult guidance and mentoring”.

Haylee, Youth Support and Development Worker for COMET, commented about the experience the participants had working with Adrian “It was great to have someone as enthusiastic and passionate as Adrian on board, he willingly matched the needs of our group and the program staff believes he is the best speaker that has ever been at the program – which is a fantastic testament to Adrian as they have been teaching the program for over 5 years!”
