CAN (Mental Health) Inc. is an independent, consumer run, organisation for people with a mental illness.Pitane Recovery Centre, the first and only consumer run recovery centre in metropolitan Sydney, is managed and run by CAN (Mental Health) as MOBILE Pitane.
A broad range of recovery activities are developed and hosted by CAN (Mental Health) & Pitane Recovery Centre including, but not limited to:
Community Connections project - a national suicide prevention project funded by the commonwealth. This project includes Hospital to Home for consumers on discharge from a Sydney metropolitan inpatient unit/s. Phone Connections a peer support telephone service 3 nights per week.

Upcoming activities being planned are Gay & Lesbian Support Groups in inner City of Sydney.
The CAN Office is based at Brookvale on the Northern Beaches.
