Description

Eastern Volunteer Resource Centre Inc (EVRC) is a not for profit innovative community organisation governed by a voluntary Board of Management, which was established in 1976.

EVRC provides a range of community services within the Cities of Maroondah and Whitehorse and the Shire of Yarra Ranges.

It has two main services:
1. Community Transport for Home and Community Care (HACC) eligibile people who are frail aged and/or have a disabillity. The program provides these people with social support which enables them to remain in their home longer, stay active and retain their independence. Transport service relies on volunteer drivers.
2. The recruitment, training and referral of volunteers to approximately 350 not-for-profit community organisations. The program is active in the promotion of volunteering and best practice volunteer management, which includes the coordination of the Outer East Volunteer Management Network.
