Description

We provide free legal advice to people who live, work or study in the Flemington & Kensington area.

We are funded by Victoria Legal Aid(State) and the Attorney-Generals Department (Commonwealth). The Legal Centre has been providing free and independent legal advice since 1980.

We are small staff team and we are supported by our volunteer base. Many of our volunteers are solicitors, law students or community development students who undertake a variety of tasks from research to client interviews, website design, and present community workshops. We provide a variety of legal advice from civil to criminal law matters. We also provide Migration advice primarily for offshore Refugee Applications.

We are managed by a Committee of Management who have either volutneered with us as law students or through our community connections. We offer home, community organsation outreach sessions, day and evening appointments.
