2008 is the Year of the Scout! For 100 years, the Scout Movement has provided opportunities for the physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual development of young people so they may play a constructive role in society as responsible citizens and as members of their local and international communities. Our aim is achieved through a strong and active program that inspires young people to do their best and to always be prepared.No matter the age of the participant, Scouts provides fun and exciting programs that promote active learning. Whether the young boys and girls are canoeing, camping, visiting museums or helping their local community, the activity is sure to teach them about themselves and the world around them.
Have you considered becoming a Scout Leader? We need men and women, young and old, to take up this opportunity to volunteer. Some 500 Scout Groups right across NSW need new Scout Leaders to strengthen their program for young people, and provide leadership to our Youth Members! Accredited training is provided. Get active with all types of adventurous and outdoor activities, and enjoy the thrill of working with young people to help them be their best.

Or maybe a group of you might want to start a brand new Scout Group? We can help you! Also, you could ask your company to support your involvement with Scouts by allowing you some occasional time off work to assist your commitment.
