The Alf's Crew New DVD

The Alfred Hospital Volunteer ProgramDescription
The Organisation:
The Alfred Hospital is a large and exciting trauma hospital. Our Emergency Department is the setting for Channel Seven's Medical Emergencies show. Within the Emergency and Trauma Department we have 22 volunteers who help support the staff in our ED but in the entire hospital there are 170 volunteers. The volunteers love working here and we would love to showcase their work with a new and updated DVD. This DVD has been screened on Channel 31 for several years and has been an excellent vehicle for promoting our program. Knowing how important this DVD has been to our program we would like a new updated production outlining the great work done by our volunteers.
The Task:
We require a professional media production person to film and edit a short documentary of our volunteer program. We need the whole deal - the camera man, the editor, the script writer (although I am sure I could give some support in this area), and anything else that is needed to produce a great DVD. This is not for the faint hearted but you will be surrounded by interesting passionate people who love what they do and the organisation they volunteer for. There are no set days for the task to be completed, although I do not work Fridays.
The Office:
The Alfred is situated in Prahran - Commercial Road - opposite Faulkner Park. It is a large organisation which has 3,500 staff and 170 volunteers. The volunteers are situated in over 40 departments.
The Impact:
We have an outdated DVD and it has been used for our bi-monthly information sessions. It was also shown on Channel 31 many times. The new DVD could be shown on information and training days, that would be over 10 viewings per year. From The Alfred's prespective a documentary on our volunteer program would increase our team spirit and be a very valuable promotional tool.
