HFA receives Youth Leadership Training from SEEK HR Director

Earlier this year, Meahan Callaghan, HR Director of the most successful job search site in Australia SEEK, fulfilled a wish with Haemophelia Foundation Australia ( HFA) to conduct youth leadership training in September.

Haemophelia Foundation Australia ( HFA) is a peek national organization representing people with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders and their families. HFA are committed to improving treatment and care through representation and advocacy, education and promotion of research.

Meahan, who possesses over ten years learning and development experience, assisted HFA by reviewing their current leadership training program and providing valuable feedback, especially relating to training materials, with a market value worth thousands of dollars.

The wish benefits were clear to Natashia, 'It was wonderful to work with someone in the field of training who had the skills and background and was willing to work with me. Meahan was a delight to work with.'

For Meahan the result was equally positive:

'I found working with Natashia terrific...What made it so enjoyable was that Natashia was very clear on what she wanted and the assistance she needed from me… I would like to think that as a result of fulfilling the wish Natashia was able to benefit from the exchange of ideas between us and access to some resources that I made available to her. Overall the experience was extremely positive and I look forward to working on more wishes in the future!'

HFA's 'Youth Mentoring and Leadership Program' is a step forward in recognising that youth with haemophilia can and will be the leaders of the future. The main focus of the program is to nurture them during this process, especially in the building of self-esteem.

Congratulations to Meahan Callaghan and Haemophelia Foundation Australia on a fantastic outcome!
