Two events, two states and $700 000 worth of services!
In just one month and in two states, goodcompany volunteers offered $700 000 worth of pro bono services to the community.
Good deeds to the value of over $600,000 were traded at the third annual 'Australian Wish Exchange' event on 26th September at the ASX in Sydney. Over thirty community groups presented wishes to more than 200 enthusiastic attendees, and the skills pledged exceeded last year's event by over $100,000.
With Sydney Morning Herald's accomplished business journalist Janine Perrett as MC, it was a night full of fun and interaction, free food and drinks, and positive wish outcomes.
Melbourne volunteers and groups took over Word Warehouse on 31st October for the second 'Find Your Perfect Match' event where an estimated $70,000 worth of pro bono services were offered to the community groups.
MC's Tony Wilson and Emma Race (Triple R) joined about 100 goodcompany volunteers and community groups and participated in a night of match up activities, community group speed dating and lots of networking.
Thanks and congratulations to those volunteers who attended these successful goodcompany events and applied for wishes. It was great to see so many of you there!
goodcompany will be in touch with community group representatives in the coming week to discuss event wish progress. So if you have not yet contacted your community group now’s the time to do so.
Please contact Kath Thompson (NSW) or Annabel Rattigan (VIC) from goodcompany if you require any further assistance or wish to provide event feedback.
