Wish comes true for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Society

A few weeks ago Susie Brookes from ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Society posted a wish for a designer to help with their invitations and fact sheet for their upcoming Awareness Day Fundraising Lunch. The invitations needed to be out in a couple of weeks so there wasn't much time to find a volunteer. Luckily goodcompany volunteer, Elizabeth Baensch, came to their rescue.

Susie and Elizabeth initially met over lunch to discuss the project and then communicated via email and phone. Elizabeth designed the invitations and fact sheet for the Fundraising Lunch without any fuss (depsite "many changes!").

Susie felt heartened to work with a volunteer so happy to give up their time for free. Susie said her experience, "could not have been easier. Elizabeth was totally professional, prompt, patient, generous".

Elizabeth's experience was just as satisfying, "Especially since design can be such a solitary occupation, it felt satisfying to make more connection with the larger community, and to feel as though I am making a difference, however humble".
