History

The concept of goodcompany was created through the belief that people offering their skills pro bono to community groups would be a valuable form of support for community organisations.

Since 2001 we have attracted thousands of volunteers, hundreds of community groups, and facilitated more than $12 million worth of pro bono services to the community.

In 2011, goodcompany joined with the Karma Currency Foundation (www.karmacurrency.com.au), an online organisation that looks for innovative ways to help people and companies support their favourite charities.

Now, for the first time in Australia, we will be able to offer a combined platform offering of workplace giving, donations and fundraising, as well as skilled volunteering. This will have a greater impact on the community sector and will also empower people to give of not only their time OR money, but BOTH. The combined offering will add strength and capacity to the sector as well as provide a compelling story for workplaces to contribute both their talent and their funds
