Funds to booster volunteer opportunities
RE Ross Trust and Ella & Mitchell Brazier Funds, managed by ANZ Trustees, has backed an innovative goodcompany mentoring program to be launched this year.
The first of its kind in Australia, the program helps charities increase the number of skilled volunteers used and the impact of their contribution.
Each selected charity works with a business mentor to set projects and recruit volunteers with the best skills match. Participating charities include, Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation, Spina Bifida Foundation of Victoria, Villa Maria Society and Richmond Fellowship of Victoria.
"Charities often suffer from a lack of resources and find it impossible to dedicate time to finding the support they desperately need," goodcompany CEO Paul Brock said.
"Our mentor program recognises the challenge most Australia's charities face with recruiting skilled volunteers, and is a huge step towards giving them this much needed support."
"And it has provided the type of unique opportunities our network of highly skilled volunteers is often looking for."
Long term partners RE Ross Trust and new grantors Ella & Mitchell Brazier Funds (managed by ANZ Trustees) donated funds for the development and delivery of this program over 3 years.
