Animal Welfare League Queensland
The Animal Welfare League of QLD (AWLQ) focuses on the care and rehoming of stray and surrendered animals in South East Queensland.

We provide affordable veterinary care through our Community Vet Clinics as well as delivering community awareness, outreach and education.

As a charity, not for profit, DGR registered organisation which receives no government funding for our welfare work, we rely heavily on donations, sponsorships, bequests, grants and the support of our fundraising community.

OUR PROMISE
Our promise is to never euthanise a healthy, sociable or treatable animal in our care.

OUR COMMUNITY (FROM 2018/2019 FINANCIAL YEAR)

• Our shelters performed over 26,434 medical treatments
• We succeeded in our promise to never euthanise a healthy, sociable or treatable animal in our care
• Our Community Vet Clinics (Ipswich and Coombabah) consulted on over 21,800 cases - now opening Brisbane on 31st March

• We continue to deliver quality community programs including Golden Hearts™, NDN and initiatives for ongoing education and awareness.

“In 2019 AWLQ will celebrate 60 years of making progressive and powerful changes in the welfare of companion animals in South East Queensland and Australia wide. We are humbled by your support and couldn’t do this work without you!”
