The Multiple Birth Volunteer Support Foundation is a vibrant community organisation that has been operating since 1997. We are passionate about strengthening the health and wellbeing of multiple birth families, especially those with babies and toddlers in challenging situations.
Our major service is to recruit, train and organise local volunteers to come to the home to assist with caring for children. Volunteers help feed babies, change nappies, wash and prepare bottles, play with older siblings and more. They can also provide some adult company for parents who may otherwise be at home all day with their children, as it is more difficult to leave the house with multiple children.
We know from our experience and academic research that practical help is one of the best ways to improve the lives of multiple birth families. We are the only organisation in Australia offering this type of service.
