FSHD Global Research Foundation

FSHD Global Research Foundation

FSHD Global is an Australian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to finding a treatment and cure for FSHD, the most common type of muscular dystrophy affecting adults and children. FSHD is an inheritable muscle disease, characterised by the progressive weakening and loss of skeletal muscles. There is no known cure or treatment for FSHD.

Ultimately aimed at improving the quality of life for people and their families suffering from this cruel and misunderstood disease, FSHD Global allocates 100 % of tax deductible donations to current or future medical research grants. As the first and only FSHD organisation in Australia, the Foundation views each donated dollar as an investment into finding a cure for a disease that does not discriminate against age, race or gender.
