Daffodil Day Volunteers SA 2017

Daffodil Day is one of the most popular and long-running events on Cancer Council SA calendar.

This year we hope to have more than 130 metro and regional sites around South Australia as well as street collectors brightening the Adelaide CBD. These sites sell a range of Daffodil Day merchandise and fresh flowers, helping Cancer Council SA to raise vital funds to beat cancer!
 
Daffodil Day is on August 25 and we need a team of dedicated and motivated volunteers. Would you be willing to show you care about beating cancer by lending a hand to become an integral part of our volunteer team? We have multiple roles to fill from 21-27 August at various locations.

Available volunteering positions: 

Onsite & Street Collecting Volunteers: onsite volunteers are responsible for selling fresh daffodils and Daffodil Day merchandise
This opportunity involves:
Setting up and packing down Daffodil Day merchandise site
Work in pairs with other volunteers and interact with general public
Selling merchandise including pins, pens and teddy bears
Banking funds at the end of each shift
Training manuals will be provided to all onsite volunteers
Skills required:
A friendly personality
A high level of interpersonal communication skills
To be reliable in attending your committed shift
 
Merchandise Drivers: We require the help of volunteers to deliver fresh daffodils and merchandise to our Daffodil Day sites
This opportunity involves:
Working in pairs
Cancer Council vehicles delivering fresh daffodils and merchandise
Lifting / moving merchandise and buckets of flowers
Skills required:
South Australian driver’s license
To be reliable in attending your committed shift
