Provide Social Support - Aged Care Facility - Kurrajong

The Community Visiting Scheme encourages a volunteer to visit an elderly resident in an aged care facility, within their community, in order to provide social companionship for those who may be socially isolated or lonely.

NOTE: Volunteers will only be making a phone call to residents during COVID-19.

By providing social interaction and companionship, the resident can establish a connection with the volunteer and feel like they are a part of the community.
The volunteer and resident can chat, reminisce, go for walks or do an activity together.

It is a rewarding experience for both the volunteer and the resident.

Compassionate and friendly, heart warming people are encouraged to apply, who are willing to make a commitment to visit at least once a fortnight on a consistent basis and who are willing to give of their time in giving back to our elderly community.
