Event Assistance - Program Promotion

Kids Under Cover (ABN 76 604 592 013) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preventing young people becoming homeless within Australia.

Our early intervention approach is practical, simple and effective.  At the heart of our work are the relocatable studios that provide stable and secure accommodation for young people at risk of homelessness.  We complement this with scholarships for education or job training to empower young people to achieve their goals and remain connected to education and the community. This combination is proven to prevent young people from becoming homeless and keep families together.

Our approach is simple and focuses on early intervention to prevent youth homelessness.
Our solution is to:
  • Build one or two-bedroom studios (with bathroom) in the backyards of homes to keep young people connected to family.
  • Provide scholarships to ensure ongoing engagement with education or job training.

The combination of providing safe and secure accommodation coupled with scholarships has proved to prevent young people from becoming homeless and keep families together.
