Would you like to volunteer with an iconic Australian NFP - Archivist, Sydney Legacy Heritage Collection

Use your archiving/collection management skills to help Sydney Legacy further develop the existing Sydney Legacy Heritage Collection Significance Assessment (2012) by undertaking the following:
  • Sort through existing historical photographs and artefacts to obtain their details, including conducting research when necessary and liaising with internal staff and Legatees towards this.
  • Photograph items.
  • Catalogue items; including condition, type of materials, dimensions, manufacturer, context of use, historical significance, etc. (pending availability of information).
  • Provide advice regarding strategies for documentation, preservation and administration.
This is a great opportunity to delve into the history of a well-known organisation, whereby your skills and expertise will go towards helping maintain the significance of Legacy for generations to come.

Points to note
Proven experience in library/archiving/collection management is required, combined with excellent attention to detail and the ability to be able to provide Legacy with suggestions for improving the management of historical information.
