On Friday 23rd February we are hitting the streets to celebrate the 2018 Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave 20th Anniversary!
We are looking for an army of confident, fun, well-spoken volunteers to join our street appeal in various Perth metro locations to collect donations, promote World’s Greatest Shave and tell the general public how they can make a difference by getting involved.
Each March, more than 20,000 extraordinary Aussies of all ages help beat blood cancer by getting sponsored by proud family, friends, colleagues and classmates to shave, colour or wax the hair on their head, chest or face for World’s Greatest Shave.
More than 60,000 Australians are living with blood cancer or related disorders, and the equivalent of one person every 41 minutes is diagnosed. Money raised for the World’s Greatest Shave will give families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need, and fund vital research that will help more people survive blood cancers like lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma.
Volunteer role details:
Friday 23rd February
7:00 – 9:00 am
AND/OR
4:00-6:00 pm
This will commence in the Perth CBD and branch out into the surrounding train stations. We need a large team of brilliant street appeal volunteers so this is a great volunteering activity to do and bring along a friend or for a large team of you! We need as many as we can get.
