Committee of Management member - Marketing

About the role
The Multiple Birth Volunteer Support Foundation (MBVS) is currently looking for a marketing expert to join our Committee of Management, to help us achieve our goals of helping more multiple birth families, and expand in to more geographical areas. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who can:
  • Develop a marketing plan to promote community awareness of the organisation and help recruit volunteers;
  • Contact our many stakeholders and create new ones, including hospital social workers, maternal and child health nurses, and obstetricians; and
  • Assist with preparing marketing material to promote the organisation.
The Committee meets on the first Monday of each month, at 7pm in Carlton. Estimated time commitment is 10-15 hours per month.

About the organisation
MBVS recruits, trains and organises local people to provide hands-on help to families with their triplets or more, particularly when they are babies. We also support families with twins in challenging situations. We are currently expanding to be able to help more twin families, by establishing volunteer banks in various suburbs. We are focusing on Melbourne initially, with a view to expand in to regional Victoria and beyond.

We have been running since 1997, and were incorporated and obtained DGR status in 2011.

With a number of new committee members, this is an exciting time in a small, fully volunteer run organisation, with the potential to help us grow significantly and help many more multiple birth families.
