Trivia MCs and Sack Race Marshals
Palms Australia is proud to present Sydney's Ultimate Trivia Challenge and Sack Race Championships. We need some trivia enthusiasts to help us pull it off on the night.
The inaugural event will support professional training for staff of Holy Family Care Centre in Limpopo, South Africa. The funds raised through the trivia, sack race and event raffle will enable Palms to provide a stipend, equivalent to a local wage, for two Australian mentors who have committed to two years of mentoring of staff at Holy Family. This support enables the staff of Holy Family to receive quality on-the-job training that the centre could not otherwise afford.
We are looking for six volunteers to help with our three activities:
1. Trivia hosts (2): two outgoing trivia fans to read out questions and mark responses. We will have a slide deck prepared for you.
2. Rafflers (2): First prize in our raffle is a cruise for 2 on Sydney Harbour thanks to Captain Cook Cruises. Your role is to sell some tickets and award the prize to the lucky winner at the end of the night.
3. Sack Race Marshals (2): Sydney's only Sack Race Championships can't happen without two volunteers to register participants on the night and organise the heats and finals. The winner and runner up will receive a prize from the Fair Trade Coffee Company.
The event is on October 31 at Club Ashfield. You will need to arrive at about 6pm for a role briefing and sack race training.
