Wesley Homeless Food Challenge!
Have you ever stopped to consider where a homeless person will get their next meal from? In our Wesley Homeless food challenge you will have to put yourself in their shoes, and feed yourself for 3 days on just $10!
Located in the Wesley Centre on Pitt St, Wesley Connect supply food packages to people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
You will learn about homelessness in Sydney by taking the challenge to shop for three days’ worth of food with just $10! In our interactive workshop participants then regroup to discuss their choices and see who has been most creative! What we need from you? An open mind that actively considers the limited choices homeless people face today and the willingness to accept a challenge. Enthusiasm and a smile!
How many volunteers? Groups of 20 – 100+. We can be flexible.
How long will it take? Half day 10 am – 1 pm or 2 – 5 pm
How will you make a difference? All food bought will be donated to the Wesley Connect program which provides food for those in need including rough sleepers or those who are finding themselves under increasing financial stress.
Costs will be quoted when full details and numbers are confirmed.
