Morning tea, Games and Joy with Seniors in Aged Care Communities
In all of our aged care communities we embrace the internationally-recognised Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care.
This innovative way of thinking about aged care works to promote loving companionship, empowerment and spontaneity and encourages environments that include animals, children and plants.
We want residents to enjoy events that are meaningful to them, and we endeavour to create an environment of variety and spontaneity where unexpected moments of joy can occur.
Many of our residents don’t have family, so a visit from volunteers brings joy and valuable social interaction into their days.
We can run the morning teas at all of our aged care locations including:
Chermside
Geebung
Bray Park
Corinda
Sinnamon Park
We are flexible as to the day of week that you volunteer. Please let us know what suits you
In order to help us on the day, we would appreciate $550 which will go directly to the cost of running the day and putting on morning tea.
A typical day with us would be:
9:00pm Welcome and briefing
9:30pm Games/ Activities
10:30pm Morning tea
12:00pm Finish and farewell
