Bobbin Head Cycle Classic 2018 - Lifeline
The Bobbin Head Cycle Classic, affectionately known as ‘The Bobbo’ – is an annual community fundraising cycle ride for Lifeline.

Part of me, however, desperately craved freedom and I made the call to Lifeline. Lifeline provide 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention services. They receive over a million contacts each year and with the cost of taking one call being $27, they really need your help.

Together we want to build a team of passionate IAG employees to join The Bobbo and raise a minimum of $500 each for Lifeline. All funds raised by IAG employees will be MATCHED and go directly into the 13 11 14 crisis line service and answering more calls.

- The most recent Australian data (ABS, Causes of Death, 2015) reports deaths due to suicide in 2015 at 3,027
- This equates to more than eight deaths by suicide in Australia each day
- Deaths by suicide in Australia occur among males at a rate three times greater than that for females. However, during the past decade, there has been an increase in suicide deaths by females

- The 27km ride – ideal for social cyclists who want to be part of a fantastic event and experience the idyllic beauty of Ku-ring-gai National Park.
- The 57km ride – for those who ride fairly regularly and want to stretch their capabilities while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Ku-ring-gai National Park.
- The 80km ride – for experienced cyclists who'd like something a little less onerous, but still want to be challenged.
- The 104km ride – for the serious rider who is looking for a challenging ride involving significant changes in elevation and a relatively long distance.

How you can help make a difference:
- Register now and spread the word amongst colleagues
- Partner-up with a fundraiser to raise $500 or more for Lifeline through Cooee
- Be prepared by training for the event
- By riding, volunteering, helping your colleagues fundraise or donating, you will be helping Lifeline continue to provide vital community services that improve and save lives
