Corporate Teams wanted for a day of environmental volunteering!
Corporate volunteering with the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife is a great team building experience that strengthens bonds, ignites team spirit and creates memorable experiences for employees while undertaking meaningful activities that benefit our environment.Corporate volunteers do not need to have any bush regeneration experience – just a willingness to learn while exploring and restoring some of our unique National Parks! Teams come away from their experience with a better understanding of the environment, the importance of National Parks and awareness regarding how their activities at home and at work may be affecting fragile ecosystems.
Get involved, volunteer and learn more about your National Parks
Corporate volunteers learn about the significance of out native flora, gain knowledge about the importance of biodiversity and restoring native habitats for our unique animals. Teams have the opportunity to undertake activities such as reforestation and planting out native seedlings, nest box building, monitoring flora & fauna, light maintenance and heritage restoration work.
Overview of our Corporate Environmental Volunteer Day
A typical corporate volunteer day on National Parks starts at 9.00 am and concludes at 3.30 pm - we can accommodate preferred dates, times and adapt other elements of the day to suit the needs of your team. We can also organise site tours, native animal displays, Indigenous culture workshops and networking drinks, to wind down at the end of the day.
An experienced team leader will be onsite to lead your team, provide information about the site including local environmental issues, the biodiversity of the area and will deliver a safety briefing, and instructions for the volunteers to carry out their activities.
Get your hands dirty! Depending on the site and the National Parks management plan, your team will undertake a variety of tasks such as:
- Planting out areas with native seedlings
- Bush regeneration activities including mulching and weeding
- Heritage restoration work at Middle Head – help us reveal the old tunnels at Middle Head!
- Make a contribution to help us cover our operating costs for facilitating your tailored volunteering activity. The contribution we seek:
- Package 1: $110 + GST per person, exclusive of beverages, morning tea and lunch
- Package 2: $130 + GST per person, inclusive of beverages, morning tea and lunch
- Package 3: $190 + GST per person for National Parks Adventure Conservation Kayaking Days, available at various sites including Goat Island, Shark Island, Clark Island and Bradleys Head – inclusive of beverages, morning tea and lunch and kayak hire.
- Enter into a partnership with us. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partners address priority environmental issues, engage local communities in the solutions and provide opportunities for their staff to contribute to the success of the partnership through volunteering and workplace giving. We have a number of regional and national priority programs to support.
Corporate Volunteer Days can be arranged for a team of 6 to up to 100 participants, from coastal areas to urban locations such as: Lane Cove, Mosman, Roseville, Penrith, Blue Mountains, Central Coast and various islands in Sydney Harbour. We have a range of beautiful National Parks located in Sydney and within a 20- 50 minute drive of the CBD.
