- Fundraising experience from major donors, companies, government, trusts and foundations
- High level experience in grant writing, program evaluation and research.
- Building strategic marketing plans, and high level PR partnerships.
- Corporate, business and/or entrepreneurial talent.

Board Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Organisational leadership and advisement
- Formulation of the Mind Blank strategy in accordance with the constitution
- Formulation and oversight of policies and procedures
- Financial oversight of the annual budget to ensure Mind Blank’s financial affairs are managed appropriately and the organisation is at all times solvent
- Oversight of program planning and evaluation
- Personnel evaluation and staff development
- Consideration of organisation and programs reports and making strategic decisions in the best interests of Mind Blank
- Promotion of the organisation
- Fundraising and outreach
- Attend and participate in meetings on a regular basis
- Provide high level strategic, financial and operational advice aligned with each director’s individual experience and professional background
- Attendance at special events (as able).
- Participate on a standing committee of the board, and serve on ad-hoc committees as necessary.
- Be alert to community concerns that can be addressed by Mind Blank’s mission, objectives, and programs and advise the CEO of opportunities
- Help communicate and promote Mind Blanks mission and programs to the community.
- Become familiar with Mind Blank’s finances, budget, and financial/resource needs.
- Understand the policies and procedures of Mind Blank
- Financially support Mind Blank in a manner commensurate with one’s ability.
- Knowledge of directors responsibilities
- Strategic expertise
- Accounting and financial knowledge
- Legal and risk management skills
- Experience managing people and achieving change.
- Industry knowledge – experience in similar organisations or industries
- Completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Governance for Directors Course.

Meeting times are once a month on a Tuesday night at 8-9pm (AEDT).
Quarterly meetings are face to face in Sydney. Meeting location is varied.
