Foodbank Corporate Volunteering Day
Here at Foodbank, volunteers are our key ingredient!
Corporate volunteers help us with core work in our distribution centre in Western Sydney. Volunteer tasks include packing orders for communities and schools, and assisting us with Food Rescue (labelling and packaging a range of grocery items that would otherwise have gone to waste).
Team sizes can vary from 1 to 20 people and are planned in advance to meet our operational requirements.
Corporate volunteers are a genuine need of our business, so we do not charge a fee for our volunteering day. This is a vital service, and you will be making a meaningful difference! If you were looking to make a further contribution to our cause, we gratefully welcome donations of food or funds.
Volunteers are needed Monday through to Friday, so choose a day that suits your team best.
A typical day with us would be:
8.45 am: Arrival at our distribution centre
9.00 am: Welcome talk and safety briefing
9.30 am: Volunteering in the warehouse begins!
11.00 am: Break (BYO, or there are a couple of local options)
11.30 am: Back on the tools
2 pm: Wrap up and debrief about the day
Please note that we do require a firm commitment from a management representative for all booking requests.
