How you can help.
Our mission:
Foodbank Victoria's mission is to provide food and other essential items to people in need and to advocate for a hunger-free Victoria.
Volunteer activities:
- Pack the mobile supermarket bus with fresh produce and pantry items
- Distribute food directly to people in need
Availability of the activity:
- Tuesdays
- Thursdays
Shift:
8 am - 2:30/3 pm
Volunteers are requested to bring:
Space is limited, so volunteers should bring as little as possible and keep their valuables in their pockets. There will be space on the bus to store lunch (that doesn't require cooling or heating), a water bottle and a small bag.
Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing suitable for bending and lifting, and bring a warm jacket as some tasks require being outdoors.

$1,200 plus GST

Additional information:
This activity involves significant amounts of manual handling, including lifting/bending, twisting/turning, repetitive movements and standing for extended periods. Volunteers can expect to lift items at least 10 kilos.
