Friends for Good is a volunteer driven not-for-profit organisation which provides a national, free, anonymous phone service that aims to alleviate loneliness. It is seeking volunteers to help meet the demand for FriendLine by having a friendly chat over the telephone with callers, talking about everyday topics.
This service is not designed to provide crisis support but uses active listening and empathy skills to support clients.

Points to note
FriendLine operates 10.00am-9.00pm every day.
The duration of each call is approximately 20 minutes.
Volunteers can commit to a two - three hour shift.
Volunteers can take calls from their workplace.
Scheduling is flexible to suit your organisation and to accommodate staff availability and rostering preferences.
Friends for Good provides training, induction and support for its volunteers.
