Did you know that one Australian has a heart attack every nine minutes?

Many of us know or love someone who has been impacted by heart disease and it has a profound impact on those left behind. Since last year, Coastrek has been exclusively
supporting the Heart Foundation to prevent heart disease, and we need your help.

We’d love to welcome you to our community of amazing Volunteers who make a real difference in the important work of the Heart Foundation in supporting all hearts in Australia.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for individuals or teams of people to become the heart and soul of Coastrek Sydney in 2024.

Coastrek is held on Friday 3 May along Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches including:

• Palm Beach


• Mona Vale Beach


• Long Reef


• Balgowlah Heights

The Event

Thousands of trekkers in teams of four will challenge themselves to hike for healthy hearts and raise funds for the Heart Foundation.

Join us for a fun and exciting day on the coast and connect with like-minded people whilst boosting your well-being with a sense of accomplishment from making a difference in your community.

Volunteer Position: Event Day Assistant

Event Day Assistants help keep participants safe and energised by guiding them along the route, cheering them on, and running rest stations. No trekking or hiking is involved when you volunteer. Coastrek is helping charity on a Friday, so it's a great opportunity to join up with your team for your corporate volunteer leave.

You bring the vibe and help us to make sure that these events are incredible for the Coastrekkers and raise vital funds for life-saving Heart Foundation initiatives.

Your support will be recognised not just with incredible views and a memorable experience, but you will also receive:

· Lunch for shifts of 4+ hours

Shifts:

We are looking for volunteers to help at this incredible event during morning, afternoon, and evening shifts at a range of spectacular locations between Palm Beach and Balgowlah Heights. There’s a shift to suit everyone and we have welcomed many small corporate teams to volunteer together at our other events. Maybe this one is for you!
