you live in the Northern Sydney region i.e. North Shore/Northern Beaches areas?
Proveda, a not-for-profit community organisation, believes
that kindness and community will make a difference in many people’s lives. The
Northern Beaches region has a very high population of older people, people
living with disability and mental illness and people living alone that need
support. Our social support program aims to link individuals with suitable
Volunteers.
All Proveda Volunteers are fully onboarded, which includes a
free Police Check, and anyone over the age of 18 can be a Volunteer. Our
Volunteer roles can fit around your availability and schedule. To register your
interest in becoming a Proveda Community Volunteer, please complete our
easy-to-use Volunteer Registration Form (found on the Community
Programs/Volunteer page of our website) and the link is provided in the auto
response that you will receive when submitting interest in this role online.
We insist that all Volunteers follow the Australian
Government, Department of Health Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) guidelines at
all times.
Benefits: There are many benefits to becoming a Proveda Community Volunteer. Our current Volunteers get great satisfaction from supporting people in their local area that otherwise would be without connection or support. Proveda strives to ensure that Volunteers are supported, trained and valued as part of our Community Volunteer team. Training is provided and social events throughout the year give you the opportunity to meet other Volunteers in your community. Volunteers also receive ongoing support throughout the year from our dedicated Volunteer Coordinator which enables the Volunteer to build confidence to deliver expert social care and support.
Additional requirements: Completion of the Proveda Volunteer Registration Form, followed by an onboarding process, which includes a free Police Check. All our Volunteers must be fully COVID vaccinated.
