Rabbit Runaway Orphanage is Victoria's FIRST dedicated Pet Rabbit Rescue. The Orphanage is a non-profit organisation staffed entirely by volunteers. It receives no government funding and is reliant on donations and fundraising to continue to operate.

Committed to providing educational services to encourage responsible rabbit ownership, the Orphanage sees a large number of young rabbits, which are mistreated due to neglect or ignorance about their care. Many rabbits end up in shelters, whilst others are euthanized early in their lives due to treatable health conditions.

We support the mainstream rescues, pounds and shelters with rehoming health-challenged pet rabbits. They are transferred to the Orphanage as an alternative to euthanasia, where they receive excellent vet care and are placed into permanent homes.

Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage is committed to the ethical treatment and moral rights of animals that share our world and in particular pet rabbits.
