Right now, countless families have been forced to evacuate, leaving behind their homes and belongings. Many are taking refuge in evacuation centres, anxiously waiting for news while floods and storms continue to cause destruction.

The Salvation Army Emergency Services team (SAES) is on the ground, providing meals, refreshments and emotional support to those affected. We are also supporting emergency response teams with meals and refreshments as they work tirelessly to keep communities safe. With widespread power outages, road closures and limited access to clean drinking water, the need for support is critical.

Our teams will continue working alongside the Queensland, New South Wales and local governments, providing vital support as the full impact of this disaster emerges.
