For a child, play isn’t just fun for a child it’s fundamental. Through play, children learn to solve problems, build confidence, manage emotions, and connect with others. Yet for millions of children, conflict, poverty, and crisis have taken away their chance to simply play.

That’s why UNICEF works in over 190 countries to protect every child’s right to play - by delivering the essentials that make it possible: clean water, nutritious food, education, healthcare, and safe spaces to learn and grow.

When children are healthy, supported, and safe, they can do what every child should be able to do: play.
