The Artesian Range: saving the wildlife of the Kimberley
$ 6.00
AWC has secured a remarkable opportunity to protect a “lost world” in the Kimberley. Bounded by the Charnley River, the Artesian Range features a maze of rainforest filled gorges, towering sandstone escarpments and broad valleys filled with rich tropical woodlands. The Artesian Range is located in a small strip of the Kimberley coast which is one of the few areas in Australia – perhaps the only area - where there have been no mammal extinctions since European settlement. It is home to at least 30 species of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians that are found nowhere else in the world, including the Black Grasswren, the Kimberley Rock-rat, the Wyulda and the rarely seen Rough-scaled Python.

Please make a tax deductible donation to save the threatened wildlife of the Kimberley coastal region (AWC’s Artesian Range Project).

$6 will support the protection of 4 hectares of wilderness in the Artesian Range.
